My name is Christina Kattula, and I am extremely passionate about women’s health. My own health issues sparked this passion in me. I had the HARDEST time coming off of birth control a few years ago. I lost my period for 6 month and experienced digestive issues, hair loss, weight gain, horrible acne, constipation, lethargy, and depression. Unfortunately, my OB and functional medicine doctors were not very helpful. I had to take my health into my own hands. I learned how to heal my body naturally and tried a lot of different things. Through cycle syncing, yoga, and tailored supplements I was able to get my period back, heal my gut, and get rid of ALL of my negative symptoms. I even lost the weight I gained and am now in the best shape of my life and feel better than I ever have before. I have gained so much knowledge along the way and have such an intimate and special relationship with my body and my cycle.
I am also a certified yoga teacher and could preach for hours about how yoga saved my life. For me, yoga has been my greatest teacher of self love. Before I learned to love myself, I had no concept of what love really was. I didn’t know how to set boundaries, I was stuck in a victim mindset, and I chose people who didn’t choose me. I hurt myself over and over again seeking external validation and love outside of myself. Yoga isn’t just about twisting and contorting your body into beautiful and sometimes scary poses. There are many life lessons you learn within the practice. During class, you find your strength in the hardest of poses. You practice discipline as you consistently commit to showing up for yourself. You find patience as you sit in the stillness and allow your mind to settle. Yoga has the potential to heal you from the inside out if you allow yourself to be open to the changes.
